Today I continue my Telsa road trip vlog and I will be driving around trying different chargers in Germany, not just Tesla Superchargers. Then it is on to Austria and again try a few odd charge networks. Some viewers have a few tips as well this time. I could just have used the Tesla chargers, but where’s the fun in that. 😀 Since I have the plugsurfing RFID key / card, I will try to use that. I also have the chargemap, the Eon, the Clever and +10 different apps on my phone. Part 1: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hQuQliZp3cY Chapters: 00:00 Replying to
In this video, I am going on an electric car road trip in my Tesla Model 3, driving through europe to get some G&T in the sun. I still get questions if it is an issue going on vacation driving electric. So here’s my experience for you to see with my own car and my personal road trip, alone through europe. I have access to Tesla’s supercharger network, but I will try to seek out other chargers in this roadtrip. All part of the fun driving an electric car. Today we are driving up the alps to Grossglockner on the High Alpine Road in Austria, all the way up to a glacier, charging at a Tesla destination charger with glacier view and you will get a front seat look at the battery consumption. Let’s just say that even a Tesla Model 3 Long range really drains the battery, but by how much? I have no descriptions, it was my summer. some of this are in videos I am working on right now. cheers.
This is a really awesome supercharger. It is not the fastest, nor is it the largest, just a version 2 at 150kw with 8 stalls, but it is a place you don’t mind being stuck at for 20 minutes. It is the Sondrio Supercharger, northeast of Lake Como. Why don’t you buy yourself a little something nice, like a Tesla. I will be ever so happy because that gives me 1000 miles more of free charging. : https://www.tesla.com/referral/martin55188
Part 2 of 2: So it is finally time for a weekend road trip, have been over a years since I have been on a proper trip, thanks to uhm the thing that is going around. So this weekend will be spent on driving, charging to get a proper perspective into how traveling in an electric car works. Of course I am blessed to have access to the Tesla supercharger network so that helps. Also will the pandemic put a stop to the whole thing?
On a weekend cruse to Germany, I was working on reducing my range anxiety and needed a place to put the pin on the map. So I went go Germany and visited the boat lift in Scharnebeck and the locks in Uelzen. Seems like a good destination if you are going in an RV or camper can @Vandemonium style. Yes, it is also another Tesla road trip. 🙂
So you have probably seen videos of people sleeping in their Tesla Model 3. But I am interested in seeing if I will even fit since I am tall and heavy. So could it work as a backup option? So today I am testing if camping is possible! Today a little video about something that makes me happy. Charging my electric car for free using solar power. Now all I need is a Tesla power wall but that is not viable or even a good economic solution. Link to solar power status: https://rud.dk/wps/index.php/solar-power/ Link to website: https://rud.dk/
